In Memoriam M/S Estonia

 1993.02.24 - 1994.09.28

Listen to the Estonia's Mayday calling

In February 1993 I was signed on the passenger vessel and to my seafarer’s passport No. M0001509 was written for the position: captain’s assistance officer on passenger services.  I was one of crewmembers in the small group who took with captain Andersson MS Estonia under the Estonian flag in Finland in Turku dockyard. Regretfully there are only few of us alive from this very first MS Estonia crew.

The night of 28-th of September in 1994 was the last for the 852 people and former Estonia’s flagship is resting on the bottom of the sea. We have just to hope that by the years the truth of this catastrophe will come out and we will know more than official report offers and what has many call in question chapters.
